Qlingua Agent Nexus: the always-on zero trust AI security agent
We deploy an autonomous zero trust AI security agent that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is part of Zero Trust AI Security and the AI Command Center on artificialintelligence.com.ai. Qlingua Agent Nexus is the decentralised multi-agent communication layer behind it. Every agent must authenticate before it can join.
The Command Center is DORMANT by default and moves to COMBAT only when a threat is verified. There are three threat states: DORMANT, WATCH and COMBAT. In WATCH, a threat signal has been detected, classical sensors are verifying it and the AI models wait on standby. Anyone can watch the Command Center, but only AI Limited administrators can operate it.
It uses a two-plane architecture. The classical plane is always on and costs zero AI tokens. It has six sensors: a web application firewall, an auth-burst detector, a file integrity monitor, a heartbeat monitor, a runtime isolator and a token validator. The agentic plane is an AI council that sleeps until COMBAT. A token cap, 80,000 by default, limits what it can spend, and when the budget runs out it stops and returns the reason.
Zero trust is enforced at every step: mTLS on every connection, Ed25519 signed agents, continuous verification, and unsigned agents rejected. Only rogue tasks are quarantined, and everything else keeps working. The agent fleet shows each agent as active, quarantined or suspended. The zero trust admission view separates ZT-admitted agents from legacy agents, such as the Evolved Qlingua v1.0 agent.
The security agents are an AI Phishing Detector, AI Ransomware Defence, AI Threat Detection, and PHP and WordPress Security. They are connected to 52 tools across the framework and the Control Centre. Model packages are Core (Hercules, Grok, Gemini and OpenAI), Enterprise+ with a Claude security-review council on demand, and Restricted models that need an entitlement. Compliance is mapped to the Cisco Foundry Security Spec: 8 core roles (Orchestrator, Indexer, Cartographer, Detector, Triager, Reporter, Remediator and Deep-Tester) plus 5 extensions, with finding lifecycle, coverage floor and economic-yield stop enforced.
A Major Attacks Register of 13 records shows what the agent defends against, and how each was fixed: Change Healthcare (ALPHV/BlackCat, 2024), ConnectWise ScreenConnect (CVE-2024-1709, CVE-2024-1708), Ivanti Connect Secure (CVE-2023-46805, CVE-2024-21887), Citrix Bleed (CVE-2023-4966), MOVEit Transfer (Cl0p, CVE-2023-34362), GoAnywhere MFT (CVE-2023-0669), Log4Shell (CVE-2021-44228), Kaseya VSA (REvil), Colonial Pipeline (DarkSide), ProxyLogon, SolarWinds Sunburst, NotPetya and WannaCry (CVE-2017-0144).
The AI.com myth: before AI meant artificial intelligence
AI.com is often assumed to have always been an artificial intelligence brand. The archived record says otherwise. In 1995 and 1996 the address belonged to Advanced Instruments Corporation, a dial-up internet and instrument company. Its homepage sold personal and business dial-up accounts, web hosting, Microsoft Merchant Server transactions and custom-built computers. The words artificial intelligence do not appear on it.
The AI terminology came to AI.com much later. ai-snack.com, first registered in 1998, and Artificial Intelligence Technologies at ai-technologies.co.uk, trading from 2001, were already using AI chat and artificial intelligence as their identity. Our network was the first to cement the actual terminology of the modern artificial intelligence industry. In 2026 AI.com sold for a reported $70 million, a price built on the meaning these earlier AI names helped establish.
